Ku De Ta - Seminyak

We have now been in the exotic Bali for three nights. Last night we went to one of the most well known restaurants on the beach in Seminyak. Ku De Ta attracts all sorts of different tourists from all over the world. This beautiful restaurant offers hospitable service and incredible, top quality, EXPENSIVE food given that everything else in Bali is so cheep. The atmosphere is bright and bubbly and unbelievably pleasant. Unfortunately due to the popularity of the restaurant, it is often busy and over crowded and some times it’s difficult to get a table. The beach surrounding it has calm and clear waters and the sand is clean and white. Ku De Ta is in one of the busiest areas of Bali so it is easy to get there. As this place is a formal, top restaurant you are required to wear formal clothes and you aren’t allowed to wear any singlets or shorts so if you do decide to go there, make sure you wear appropriate clothing!

The menu offers a wide selection of interesting foods ranging from only the finest traditional Balinese cuisine to a simple delicious burger and fries. I ordered the kids fish and chips. It came with crunchiest most generous serving of chips and two nice big well cooked pieces of snapper. The plate was garnished with beautiful flowers and greenery. The over all experience of the food was 10 times better due to the lovely surrounding view and atmosphere. Ku De Ta is not owned by any Balinese people but despite that, the owners have still given the place that little twist of local Balinese village life with its straw roofs. This place is very much an example of a modernised Balinese culture. My own personal experience of it was beautiful and it’ll be something I will remember about this place for a long time. If I come back to Bali, I will most definitely be returning there! I would highly recommend that anyone travelling to Bali and staying near Seminyak should most definitely have a meal at Ku De Ta.
